HOW TO DO POT PAINTING

Choose a ceramic item and use our non-toxic glaze paints to add your chosen colour and design. Browse through the items we have by clicking on the CHOOSE YOUR CERAMICS button or wait till you get here to choose them from the shelves. Once painted, leave them for a couple of days to be fired in our kiln - all paid for in the price - and either come back a few days later to collect or get them posted direct to your home.

It really is as simple as that. You don't need to be artistic because the item stays the same, the only difference is the colours you add. Slapdash painting can look better, especially on vases mugs and plates! The only restriction is your own imagination, so you can have a yellow dragon or a pink elephant if you want. There are at least 35 different colours to choose from so you're bound to find one or two that you really love.

We look forward to seeing you here soon!

An ex classroom big enough for ten adults or twelve children at one table giving you a really social setting for your parties or meet-ups

Sadly with the rising costs of just about everything, I am having to charge a little more for your experience at the Gallery. Rather than raise the price of the pottery items, the fairest way is to charge a slightly raised studio fee of £5 per person when you visit and use our studio.

Our pottery painting costs will still be lower than most other competitors, achieved because a large proportion of the items are made here at the Gallery and are priced to make sure everyone can afford to enjoy the painting. Paint at home pottery will remain the same price as before.

NB. If you have booked your space in the Gallery and find that you can't make it, please let me know so that I can offer your space to others or use the studio for other things.

I haven't charged you a booking fee to make your life simpler, please respect that.

Selected Kit Review: The pottery painting kit (paint, brushes, pot) arrived in an excellent sturdy box with the contents fully protected (keep box and packing for safe return of pot for firing). I followed the enclosed instructions and found the brushes to be good quality and the washable paints easy to apply. I was very pleased with my first efforts! The next day the decorated pot was posted back to the Gallery for firing. I was excited to see what effect the glaze and firing would have on the colours and appearance of “my” pot. I was not disappointed - in fact, quite the opposite. The quality and professional glazed finish means that not only did I have all the fun of receiving and opening the parcel box (twice), but I now have a lasting memento of my first pottery painting. I LOVE it! I have already recommended these kits to friends as all year round presents, as they would not be a two minute wonder, but a lasting, thoughtful present. Highly recommended.
