Pottery Wheel sessions
The gallery offers a fun wheel throwing experience and is available for anyone over the age of seven, providing an enticing introduction to the art of pottery throwing. Participants receive a brief lesson followed by time to craft their own pot from wet clay.This is a rewarding opportunity to create something of personal value. Given its popularity, prior booking for this session is essential.
Each session costs £20 per person which covers the use of the studio wheels with individual guidance and demonstration. Any pots you have made and want to keep are fired twice, once to get it ready for glazing, the second time to fire on the glaze decoration that you can choose from an extensive range of glaze effects.
A small pot made from 1lb/ 450gms clay will cost around £8 - £10 each to process. If you would like to return to the studio to decorate your own pot with our pottery painting glazes the extra studio fee of £7 will apply
Wheel Booking Form
NB. Application to book does not automatically book your preferred time and date. It is recommended to book early to secure your desired slot. Providing a range of dates and times can also increase the chances of finding a suitable booking. After submitting your request, you will receive an email confirmation with a date and time that hopefully suits you.
